Growing up, my parents emphasized the significance of gratitude and generosity in our daily lives. They taught my sister and I to appreciate what we have, no matter how much or how little, and to help those who are less fortunate. These values were further strengthened when my wife Dana and I had the opportunity to visit Cambodia and witness the incredible kindness and generosity of the local people, despite their limited resources. The experience was truly humbling and left a lasting impression.
As we looked to make a greater impact in the world, Dana and I realized that our financial contributions alone were not enough to bring about the change we desired in the world. Inspired by the kindness and generosity of the people we met in Cambodia, and driven by the values instilled by my parents, we felt the urge to do more. We made a conscious decision and actively sought out opportunities to get involved in our community and support organizations that strive to make a positive impact by alleviating poverty, advancing education, and helping children in need.
Dana and I are dedicated to instilling these same values of gratitude and generosity in our children. With each step we take on our journey of parenthood, we aim to cultivate a sense of empathy and generosity in our children, so that they may grow up to make a positive impact in the world. Our goal is to provide them with the foundation to understand that life has a deeper meaning when it goes beyond oneself, and that being grateful, generous, and making a difference in the lives of others is what truly matters.
