Welcome to my website! My name is Brett and I'm excited to share some of my journey and passions with you. I grew up in the beautiful city of Gig Harbor, Washington and went on to further my education at the University of Washington, earning a double major in Economics and Communications. Like many, I was unsure of my next steps, but I was determined to find a path to get started. My exploration led me to discover the rapidly growing field of digital marketing, where I had the privilege of representing some of the world’s top brands.
As I progressed in my career, I developed a deep appreciation for the power of data and how instrumental it can be in making more informed decisions. Inspired by this realization, I started tracking and analyzing my personal finances, setting goals, and making adjustments based on projections and learnings. This insight fueled my passion for democratizing data, and empowering individuals and companies alike to make data informed choices. In recent years, I began to notice a divide between technical and non-technical mindsets, and saw an opportunity to bridge the gap. I pivoted my career towards the world of business intelligence, analytics, and data engineering, where I currently have the opportunity to transform complex data sets to drive strategic decisions regularly.
My passion for my professional career is only one aspect of who I am. I am also deeply committed to my family and friends, and I am constantly seeking new experiences and ways to make the world a better place. Together with my wife, Dana, I am actively engaged in giving back to my community, and our goal is to leave the world a better place for future generations to enjoy.
